An Excerpt From Dining on Humans


...covered in clouds of honey and very slow growing,
pairs of male and female gather in early summer when fully ripe,

widely cultivated for their red flesh, thick sweet-flavored skin enveloped in white blooms in the stars

they live in symbiosis with the horizon (the mountain being wrapped in fog)

The tongue warns us :
They may just be blobs of our imaginations
